Kitchen Leagues

Privacy Policy

Last updated August 7, 2026

Kitchen Leagues ("we," "us") runs pickleball leagues and tournaments for clubs. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and your choices. We keep it short and plain.

What we collect

Your date of birth is not shared with your clubs. Only you (and Kitchen Leagues staff) can see the date itself. When you sign up for an event, the organizer receives your year of birth so they can work out your age for divisions — never your birthday.

When our staff can see your account

To investigate a problem you report — or to test the app before a release — a Kitchen Leagues administrator can sign in as your account and see the screens you see. They cannot do this as another administrator, and they cannot delete your account while doing it.

Every time it happens is recorded, with who did it, whose account, and when. Sessions expire after an hour. If you want to know whether anyone has ever done this to your account, ask us and we will tell you.

How we use it

Text messages & consent

We send SMS only to people who have affirmatively opted in within the app from their own phone. Being added to a club or league by an organizer does not opt you in. You can turn texts off anytime in your profile, or reply STOP to any message. Message and data rates may apply.

What we do NOT do

How it's stored

Data is stored using Google Firebase (Authentication and Cloud Firestore). Access is restricted by security rules; club organizers can see the roster of their own club only.

Your choices

Deleting your account

Deleting your account removes your profile (name, photo, date of birth, skill level), the link between your phone number and your account, your club memberships, and your event sign-ups. Your login is deleted too. This cannot be undone.

What stays: scores from nights you played remain on your clubs' scoreboards. Those are the shared record of games other people played as well, and rosters record a name rather than a link to your account — so once your account is gone, a name on an old scoresheet is no longer connected to your phone number, your birthday or any login. If you'd like your name removed from a roster, ask that club's organizer.

If you're the only admin of a club that still has other members, we'll ask you to hand it over or delete the club first — otherwise those members would be left with a club nobody can run.
